Britney spears had a tough time with the conservatorship but the fan support and support from various celebrities around the world Helped her out of the nightmare of conservatorhship and is free now. Recently She got married to her boyfriend Sam Asghari and was seen pretty happy with a star studded reception. Here are some of the strict rules she had to follow before her victory against the conservatorship.
1-
She was Not Allowed to See Her Kids.
After the 2008 incidents Britney lost custody of her two boys Sean Preston and Jayden James. Ex-husband and backup dancer Kevin Federline received full custody with Britney having monitored visitation the pop star now has 30% custody of the boys.
With the kids spending most of their time at Kevin's, in 2019 Kevin filed a restraining order against Britney's father James. The agreement meant sadly that on Christmas of 2019 Britney wasn't able to spend the holidays with her kids who are now teenagers. Britt makes the most of her time with the boys but not spending the holidays with family that's got to be tough.
2- She was Not
Allowed To Have Children
It was reported that Britney told the courts
she wanted to have a baby with boyfriend Sam Asgari, under the agreement she's not permitted to
have more kids. The star would need permission from her father. Britney told
the courts that she felt more mature than she was when she had her sons Sean
and Jayden in her early 20s.
3- She Couldn't Get Married
Back in 2004 Britney tied the knot with Kevin Federline, this was only weeks after her infamous 55-hour marriage to her childhood friend Jason Alexander the couple then split in 2006. With all that drama some might think Britney has no plans of walking down the aisle for a third time. Unfortunately if Britney does want to get married she'd need legal permission from her father. As it stands Britney can't wed her boyfriend, personal trainer Sam Asgari.
The pair has been dating
since 2016 and often post videos of hanging out and exercising at Britney’s
home. Couples who work out together stay together the star posted.
4- No Control Over Her Music Or Career
While Britney has been under her father's control, her career has continued to thrive despite the fact that she has no legal say in the decisions made regarding music or performances. Her 2018 piece of meat tour earned an estimated 54.6 million dollars.
Britney was scheduled for another run of performances in Las Vegas; her
previous residency was a success a run that grossed over 138 million dollars. However
when Britney was checked into a facility in 2019 james made an executive
decision to pull the plug on the Vegas shows citing issues with Britney's
medication and his own illness, this all however occurred around the time that
Britney first appeared in front of a judge to ask for some of her mandated
restrictions to be eased up.
5-
Her Social Media was Monitored
Part of Britney's legal guardianship means her social media and cell phone use can be monitored. Fans flood the comments of each new post claiming she's being silenced and sending her supportive reassurance.
The hashtag free Britney movement was spreading
on social media. In the comments of a recent post fans urged Britney to wear
yellow in her next video if she needed to secretly reach out for help the next
day Britney appeared in a bright yellow top there was no convincing her
followers that Britney was not in some kind of distress and the hashtag went
viral once again.
6 -
No Hiring Personal Lawyers
She was not allowed to hire her own lawyer but is required to follow the advice of her
father's legal team. Fans argued that the
star should have the right to her own attorney.
A change.org petition recently sprung up asking for Britney to be
allowed her own lawyer. Over 175 000 people and counting have signed.
7-
She Couldn't Visit Friends or Colleagues
All relations and visits are dictated by her guardianship and judging by her social media posts Britney spends quite a bit of time by herself. Her father must also approve of all meetings with work colleagues.
In 2016 when Britney collaborated with Iggy azalea on the song pretty
girls, Iggy revealed that Britney's team had to search her home before the colleagues
could have lunch together. Iggy told E news they came and checked my place to make
sure I wasn't trying to stash anything weird and like get it to her or
something.
